oxidizing liquids classification

when oxidizing liquid substances not mentioned by name in table a of chapter 3.2 are assigned to one of the entries listed in sub-section 2.2.51.3 on the basis of the test procedure in accordance with the manual of tests and criteria, part iii, sub-section 34.4.2, the following criteria shall apply:

a liquid substance shall be assigned to class 5.1 if, in the 1:1 mixture, by mass, of substance and cellulose tested, it exhibits a pressure rise of 2070 kpa gauge or more and a mean pressure rise time equal to or less than the mean pressure rise time of a 1:1 mixture, by mass, of 65% aqueous nitric acid
and cellulose.
